Travel in London

"The world is too much with us"
The world is too much with us; late and soon,
Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers:
Little we see in Nature that is ours;
We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon (terrible exchange)!

Here are 3 questions to make me understand the poem's meaning and purpose:
1. Is this world too valuable? What does he mean by the "world"?
2. Have I given my heart away for the wrong things?
3. Why have I sometimes preferred the cheap thing and "wasting" things of this world instead of those things that are valuable and life giving?

Answers:
1. In my opinion it depends on how people respect this world. This world is too valuable to the people whom not respect it.
2. No, I haven't. But a t least I've tried and I'm still working on it.
3. I think because I am too consumptive and didn't realize that this world provides anything I need.
